That is a lot of house and land for $640K and the garage is BITOG perfection! High annual property taxes and the hot, dry, dusty location would make it a no-go for me.
I don't see property taxes listed what are the taxes

On or about $11k per year.. note no state income taxes.

I missed where it listed taxes!! So if your current real estate taxes and income taxes are close to that it is a wash and shouldn't prevent you from purchasing. When buying you should also look at car insurance, home insurance and utilities to get a true picture of cost to run the house . When I move from NY to NJ taxes was higher in NJ almost double but Utilities and insurance was much lower so the net was cheaper to live in NJ

Many are lightning fast to post "but high property taxes!!!" but somehow they forget over and over that Texas has no state income tax.

Its a wash, and Texas overall is lower taxed. They. Just. Can't. Get. It.
Yep. You need to look at the all the cost components, plus revenue potential, resale, etc.
And there is no free ride; we all pay one way or another.

The last house GON showed was up against the Border (Rio Rico) and this one is in a dust bowl. But yet - they are not "flawed".

OK.

In 1996 I rode cross the country on my bicycle. I rode across Texas on Hwy 380, spending the night Brownfield and Aspermont in the most sunburned, dust laden, worn out "hotels" imaginable. This house is just south of Hwy 380. IMO, living there would be like being banished from Earth.
