I have a 99 400ex that loves this oil it seems, as it hasn't used a drop and the oil looks brand new now, & it's been in there for 1 yr.
Should i run it another year? How about the cheapo filter, should i replace it?

My wifes 98 300ex has used it all and there is no oil in the crankcase.
What should i do with this one; should i go a thicker wt.?

My kids' 02 90 fourtrax seems to like the oil as well.

On the '99 - How many miles/hours are on the oil & filter? You really should change both.

It used all the oil? How many miles/hours?

I've got maybe 24 hrs on each of them in one years time. Didn't go on a lot of trips last year due to high fuel costs.

I don't want to dump good oil out of the 99, if i don't need to. The 90 takes one quart so i may change that out. But the 98 has me concerned about whether or not i should go with a thicker weight. Yes, it used or leaked almost all the oil.

I'm thinking about just replacing the filter on the 99 & top it off with oil, replace the oil in the 90, and go with a thicker weight in the 98 and replace oil & filter.

What do you think i should do?

I've got a 3800 Honda generator that is spec'd for 10w30.

What do you amsoil guys recomend for oil in these?

I've been running 10w30 valvoline full synthetic, but i think i'm out of it now.

This is what I would use..

One of my customers who is a home contractor been running this in his generators on job sites.

Product code ASE

I do not have any recommendations for what type of oil to use, but definately check the oil level on the 98 much more often (maybe every hour) and top it off as needed. Running that low will be very costly!

Most definately. I just checked the oil level last night and it's not actually all gone but pretty close to it. 1/4" of oil on the stick.
My 400 and the 90 doesn't eat any oil at all, but the 300 does so i'll have to keep a closer eye on it i guess.
I just wonder if a thicker oil would be better?

The oil's condition in the 90 look good with just a little tint of dark dark brown, and the same with the 300. The 400 however, looks like brand new oil. I wonder if it has anything to do with the oil cooler up front?
