What is the oldest tool in your collection that you regularly use? Not just old tools you own, but the one(s) you actually use? Mine would be the Giller USA adjustable wrench that was my Dad's that is most likely from his time in the Army during the mid-1960s. I don't think I have anything older.

Snap-on 1/4" ratchet from the 60's, maybe 70's. Was getting thrown away because they thought the gears were stripped. Took it a part expecting the same, but it was just full of old grease and dirt keeping the pawl from making a good connection. Some pitting from rust that was removed, but otherwise works perfectly.

I've got a couple of my grandfathers tools, but I use the ballpeen hammer still. Never really looked at it close enough for markings to get a clue for the date, could be from the 1950's? He farmed from the 1930's to the late 80's, so imagine he had a couple over that time.
I also still use his last set of golf irons, from the 80's. The 4 iron was his favorite club and its now my favorite too.

Now that is a tee-up to an off color joke ;)

Sadly, my father's tools got swiped when I was doing a sidewalk repair on a FIAT 128 in the mid 80's, Made a quick run to the AP store three miles away. Came back to no tool box! Also lost my nice snap-on set.
I think most of my craftsman ratchets and stuff are 40 years old or more. Have SK and mac and a ton of old and new big rig tractor stuff at my buddy/partner's barn hotrod shop a town over. - Arco

The 1983 model Lawn-Boy push mower that I bought with my own money (when I was 13), in 1984.
I am assuming this was for a lawn mowing business? That would have been a significant purchase for a 13 year old in 1984.

Lawn Boys weren't the cheapest option out there.
I have used them a few times and I liked their quirkiness.

I have been buying tools since I'm 17 years old. I'm 59 now. The longest running, most regularly used tool that comes to mind is my 1/2" drive Snap On torque wrench. It's the flat one with the dial on the side. Early one so it has a two way head on it but it's only ever tightened. I taught my son to torque everything on his truck if there's a spec so between us, it sees regular use rotating tires and in most repairs. Probably bought that wrench in 1983.

The oldest tool in my collection that is regularly used is a stihl fs85 weed wacker bought new in 1999, use it weekly this time of year.
Smooth runner, absolutely beat on it for 20+ years. Mine is from 2001 starts ok after like half a day of messing, wife hates that thing and I consider it retired. (Cordless for the win. Every time. We have two.)

If engine powered equipment is being considered, I use all the below at least every couple of weeks.
- 49 Farmall C
- 68 JD 3020D
- 2000 Wright Stander 36"

If talking hand tools only
- Klein lineman pliers that were my Dads when he was a lineman with the co-op in the 70s.
