Oldest batteries at tractor supply.

Ran in to get some chicken feed and like usual I cruised the store.

They must not sell many automotive batteries. Had several that were from this month. I find that odd as this one was a very common group 65 that fits many vehicles.

Probably 75% of the batteries on the shelf were several months old or older.

Yep. Best to buy gas and batteries at high volume locations to get fresh stuff.
 
I've noticed this as well for years...I've seen batteries up to 12 months old. Not just Tractor Supply but farm and feed stores in general. I don't think these are the first places one thinks of for a battery. The car applications seen the slowest and the marine and tractor batteries seem to have a bit more turns.
