Old stereo magazines

I may violate some rules here, mods delete if I am, I have an original first issue Emotiva USP-1 preamp with phono input and UPA2 two channel amplifier I would sell. We 'upgraded' our entertainment center and these pieces no longer fit into it. I am the original owner and each piece comes with their original boxes, remote, power cords, and manuals.

I was the same with mobile electronics mags, man seems like ages ago.
Do you remember Alma Gates, the retired school teacher who set a world spl record? It was a Ford Bronco and had I think something like 80k watts of power using kicker audio. It set a record over 170 dB.

I wasn't aware that Alma was a retired school teacher. But I remember the gates family. I remember I bought a used kicker component set from a local guy that competed for them that was down on his luck, and I was just trying to help him out by buying the set. Turns out the tweeters were blown. I reached out to a guy on the car audio forum who worked for a kicker, I think his handle was polecat, and he got me set up with a new component set. It was a wonderful time where the companies were small enough that they actually cared. Things were real and seemed to matter. Today everything is disposable and nothing matters.

Check out an article post on thedrive.com I think. Someone found the Bronco and is rebuilding it to it's competition days former glory. I like looking through the high end home audio magazines but wow I saw an $18k home audio receiver I was blown away.
