My girlfriend’s mother asked me to take her to her doctors appointment as she couldn’t drive due to the procedure and meds she was going through. Anyway, we took her 07 Lexus RX350, dropped her off and went to run errands. The car rides like normal, etc. I was walking back to the car and noticed her front rt tire was cracked, etc Closer inspection I saw that it was 20 years old (the other 3 tires were 3 year old Toyos in good condition). Will it ran about 50 miles today just fine. But I immediately went to replace that tire w a used one from a local Indy shop.

I am surprised it held air. I seen 20 + year old tires that looked much better than that.

Just because it's holding air and has some tread left doesn't mean it's safe to drive on. Sometimes non-car aware people don't know that.
