balance isn't the issue, but can't get the leg up high enough, not sure if it's too much waist or too much thigh or both that's stopping me.
Single leg squat at that age is highly impressive! Good for you kiddo!funny but true!! at 73 my balance is fading but working on it as i want to continue riding motorcycles! beside balance your leg strength is key + being 5-8 + only 160 is a plus as only a few years ago i did single leg squats, body weight only. with most people being overweight to put it nicely i suspect even younger people would have issues trying that!! BUT if we never challenge ourselves we will never be able to do simple activities as we age, use it or loose it, YOUR choice!!
And sit down to do other things too.Old Men are smart enough to sit down and put their shoes on.
