I have this old adjustable wrench in my toolbox. It belonged to my Dad who passed away in 1992. I've used it on just about everything over the years but never gave much thought to it. Today as I was rummaging around my toolbox looking for some random thing, I realized I've never seen another Giller tool. Have any of you guys ever had anything from the Giller brand? If so, what do you know about it? FWIW, this wrench has never let me down when I needed it.

That looks a lot like early craftsman adjustable wrench, i wonder if they produced them for craftsman at some point.

It appears they were a part of Thorsen. For info on old tools Alloy artifacts is a good resource.

I have no idea if these were cadmium coated, but if so you're supposed to be careful. Don't take a wire wheel to it or anything that could create dust.

Some of the interweb says the practice ended by 1945, but others say it may have continued through the early '70s.

This is just something I worry about with any "old" tool.
