I've been listening to old Car Talk episodes since I found them on Spotify. There's just something about those guys that makes me smile.

I drove many a mile in a former life traveling while working in construction and maintenance listening to Tom and Ray. I loved a poem they once did (or read) about a vacuum leak. Pure genius.

It was obviously more of a comedy show than a car help show, and very entertaining. The brothers seemed like genuinely good guys.

One character was called "Old Crusty" (?)

One brother is the pitch man for ebay motors parts.

I'm no SAE certified or master mechanic but I always feel like Tom and Ray. My co-workers routinely come to me asking for vehicle advice. On a number of occasions my recommendation was spot on.

Their book they published is a must read. I definitely laughed so much my sides hurt.
