Hello, I was cleaning out my garage today and found this new old bottle of p/s fluid. All of my vehicles take atf in the power steering pumps. What would this oil be good for? Can i use it as jack oil?

Was it sealed?

If so, you could use it as - wait for it - power steering fluid.

The bottle has been open for as long as I know. What is p/s fluid? Is it like a hydraulic oil with additives.

Isn't PS fluid a thing of the past? Seems like most nowadays use ATF?

+1 I would use it where you would normally use something like 3 in 1.

It would make good cutting oil for drilling / tapping, or just a general purpose lube (like 3 in 1, as mentioned above). Or mix with acetone and use it as a penetrating oil (like the ATF / acetone mix). ATF and PS fluid are usually not drastically different, so it should work for that job.

Great ideas. I will just keep it as cutting oil.
