It always surprises me how lifelong residents in the snow belt forget how to drive and instantly all fly off the road when the first snowflake falls but then overcompensate on the second snowfall.
That’s what happens when you are contractually and monetarily obligated to always drive one speed regardless of environment.
My guess is they figure a crash is covered by insurance and gives them an out on the deadline
