OK to run any oil filter over 5k?

I'm not sure what cutting a filter open tells us other than the filter is doing it's job. I would like to see some tests done to a filter like yours to see if it is still able to filter without going into bypass.

Well I have been doing this for many miles and haven't had an issue and the oil pressure is within 0.5psi of when the filter is new and after 20K KM (12K miles).

The OEM filters from Hyundai that I used to run would also be within 0.5psi after 5K KM (3K miles) so I don't see any issues running this change interval.

Your results may vary but I think this proves fine for my application.
