If not towing... Why the 3.5 hybrid?

The hybrid isnt better for towing. Its towing capacity is lower and it has less payload capacity due to the extra weight of the batteries.

the electric motor doesnt really do anything while towing either. It might provide a quick burst here or there but it would drain the battery in a matter of minutes if it was used for more than that.
