I noticed a little leak oil seeping on my Cayenne...
Its from front cover ( chain cover ) no warranty anymore debating on leaving it or replacing it big job ...
Put a can of liqui-moly motor oil saver in the crankcase and I guarantee the weeping stops unless they've used rtv as a gasket there.
If it doesn't work I'll pay for the can.
No dirt will get in there. It does use a rubber gasket but i would resist the temptation to snug the bolts or use any sort of seal/gasket sweller if its just slight weepage.
The problem i have with these seal/gasket conditioners swellers is they just don't condition the one gasket or seal but every gasket and seal.
Tightening the bolts usually causes no harm but if the gasket is hardened it can crack it further exacerbating the leak.
I have no idea what the long term effects of using this kind of product are but i don't want to find out. If its not dripping i would live with it, if it worsens fix it properly.
You have enough time to prepare for the repair and decide what you want to do.
