Im in the mind set to get the right/needed oils in my cars: 127,xxx mile 1995 Geo Prizm (1.6ltr 5 sp) and 140,000 mile 1996 Chevy Caprice (5.7).
The Prizm is a daily driver that gets an average of 20,000 miles a year put on it, mostly county roads and small city driving. At this time, Im running Kendall GT-1 synthetic blend 10W30 with an AC Delco filter.
The Caprice is more of a log than a car at this time. The car probably wont get 3,000 miles (small city, county roads and HW) on it a year as of now, but I still would like to have a good stout oil in it for weekends and road trips. At this time, Im running Kendall GT-1 synthetic blend 10W30, I forget the filters brand name.
My driving habits in the Prizm is like a spirited grandma, while in the Caprice, its more more spirited than grandma...the occasional burnout or WOT bursts.
Im just looking for some good stout oil(s) to keep the cars running strong
Thank you
CJ
