Yep... Best bang for the buck. Buy it in 5 Qt jugs at WalMart. Get a MC Filter while you are there.
PS I thought all 2011 Fords were supposed to have an Oil Life Monitor? If not I have never seen the Mazda based DOHC 2.3L with 5,000 mile changes that didnt look like the oil was changed early.
Valvoline is good stuff. I run the conventional in both cars at 5000k oci. Engines don't use any oil and are clean as a whistle inside. But all the majors have good stuff nowdays.
Since you live in North Carolina, I would buy Castrol GTX 5W30 and use an oversize filter like a Pure One PL30001. A conservative OCI would be 3-4K with that combination.
The energy saving 5W30's are almost near the 5W20's. The Pure One oversize filter is probably the best bang for the buck. Just my 2 cents. Good Luck with whatever you decide upon.
Use the weight your manual specs. It's a ford so it's probably 5w-20. Use Motorcraft, great products at great prices. Also, 3k miles is nothing on the oil unless it's being heavily abused.
