I am looking to find some updated market data on Oil Re-refining. How many Oil Re-refineries are there in US?

Can I use re-refined oil for my Camry?

When I was a kid we used to put that re-refined oil in our old truck that burned oil. It burned just as good as the name brand oils.

re-refined oil (I'm told) used to be Factory fill for Rolls Royce!

You can use any oil that meets the appropriate specifications and is of the correct viscosity for your Camry.

There's actually quite a bit of motor oil re-refining going on. If you Google "re-refined base oil," for instance you'll find that there are a lot of companies involved. Here's a link to an informative California government page: Re-refined oil

The use of re-refined motor oil has been mandated for years (decades?) by many state and municipal governments for their fleets.
