oil pressure switch 92 chevy truck

My 92 4.3l truck needs a oil pressure switch. I bought the socket needed and the part. I go to do it and the socket wont fit on the senor. The fire wall is in the way. Can I just use a wrench or is there a tool that will do it and will work. It is right beside the distributor on the passenger side on the back of the engine. Thanks guys

I have just always used a wrench.

Its a 1 1/16 right just a regular box end?

I don't remember the size. I just know I never used anything special.

i have always used the correct wrench because that is what i was taught to do
i had to grind (make thinner) to fit a couple of the gm's

I bought a wrench at oreillys and it won't fit either. This is really frustrating. Such an easy job put in such a dumb place
