Oil pressure reading too high??

I'm beginning to realize all over again that (a) those displays of voltage and psi are only a feel-good, techie kind of option, and (b) that this board is a fantastic resource!

willix - Is that a dash gauge? Because a real voltmeter will probably read differently. 13.4 is once again, about one volt too low.

Batt. volts are diplayed on the DIC(driver info center) by the touch of a button, other 1 touch displays are instant MPG, avg MPG, current speed, avg speed, fuel range, fuel used in gal/trip timer, volts, oil life% left, and some sort of cell phone interface. I am disapointed I can't read coolant temp data with out going into the separate systems or code/data reading mode. It does have a coolant guage and once warm it never changes. I am rather impressed with the amount of info availiable after going into the separate systems. some systems co-mingle like trac control, abs, trans & eng. can be effected ot the same time if the brake fluid is low for instance. It is very cumbersome sorting through codes. there are thousands of potental codes that can trigger. Gee wizz, I did'nt consider a VM because 13.6 volts seems good to me.

That alone is enough to make me think the gauge sending unit is wonky.

13.4 is about right on a very hot day when with a warm engine.

14.4 is about right on a cold day. 14.8 on a very cold day--at cold startup.

Ummmmm...what exactly does your statement have to do with oil pressure? I take offense that a smug two-Japanese-car-owner has to toss in a worthless two cents worth when the OP is simply trying to get some help.
