oil pan plug

Has anybody noticed a deep gouge where the pan plug hits the pan on my 2012 f150 with 5.0 engine I never over tighten the pan plug. the mark is where the metal around the outer part of the plug hits the pan it looks strange. but the dealer told me it was normal lol lol lol .The pan plug tightens fine and don't leak. It like the part in the pan that is welded was pulled tight against drain plug. Maybe it is normal?? Thanks guys for the help..

Maybe the pan is bent.

You are 100% right I should have took some pics for you guys. It looks like it was cutting into the pan some? It tightens fine and don't leak but it looks like it is pertrudeing where the sealing surface is. I wonder what the inside of the pan look like where the drain plug is?

I will take some pics when I do the first oil change on my '14 Mustang and see if it has something similar.

Thanks.. I can't remember it the first change it look like it does now. You don't think it will cut through the pan and cause a leak??
