Looking for suggestions of the best SAE 30W to use in my new eu3200i. I'm in south Florida, where the summer temps are nearing 100F every day. The Honda will be used thru the evenng & overnight to power A/C on my boat

Fill it up with whatever opened pcmo thats already open, run it under load and see how hot the oil gets.

This oil has proven its worth in my 5K predator. Ran the generator 38 hours straight in NV heat 107 day and 95 night. Had my 13, 500 BTU AC on the whole time.

Well, I just bought a jug of Mobil 1 0W-40 FS for my Florida generator… so… the best 30, might just be a 40. 😉

Also, unless you were asking a particular question from a particular sponsor, this is more of an OPE question, so I’m moving the Thread there

I switched all my summer OPE to Valvoline VR1 20W-50. Everything runs fantastic.

I ran Rotella T5 15W-40 in everything prior, also no issues.

I'd bump up to a 40 grade. I'm currently running 5W-40 in my generators. 5w is for winter starts in Michigan. In Florida, you could use 10W-40 or 15W-40. If you are really loading it down, maybe even bump up to a 20W-50?

Running in hot, humid air, you would benefit from a higher grade oil than 30.

I will vote for Amsoil or HPL as being able to deliver the "best" oil for this. I'm sure there are at least a dozen other options that are "fantastically excellent" but perhaps not quite "best".
