I have not had issue getting it threaded on mine. It seems to be the easy part of the process. Maybe my arms are long. I seem to recall using my left hand to shimmy the filter up until I can get my right hand under it, at which point the right hand does the spin while lifting move.
Perhaps put a jack under the passenger radius arm jack point and lift up a few inches to raise that corner of the truck while allowing the suspension to droop.
