Hey guys i'm wondering if i can get some input on what oil to use in my dads 97 toyota camry. It has the 4 cyl 5sfe engine, with 196k on it. His daily work route is about 65 miles round trip which is almost all highway, plus a couple miles in city in the evening. I live in northern indiana so temps are pretty flexible, up to 100 in the summer and we sometimes see -10F / -15F in the winter. No burning problems, or pressure issues with the engine. It does have a small leak, but not enough to even need oil through an oci. Current fill is Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 with about 6k miles on it. The car has seen synthetic since 110k, conventional valvoline was used before that. I pulled the valve cover to replace the leaky seal and there was no sludge, just some varnish. This was at about 170k.
