Oil Filters and MOS2

Hey guys, I did a search and couldn't find the answer to my question, I'm currently using a Bosch distance plus filter on both my cars, the filter is advertised as having a 99.9% efficiency with particles as small as 20 microns. I'm adding about 100ml of Lubra moly M0S2 which I understand is an organic colloidal moly in a mineral oil suspension. My question is this, am I actually deriving a benefit from the moly additive, or is my filter catching it all? Should I drop down to a NAPA gold, or a BOSCH premium, or similar filter? I'm sure it's been discussed before, but thanks in advance.

It will pass right through the filter, the particles are smaller than 20 microns.

Yep. I contacted the company that makes Lubro-Moly before I started using it and asked them the same question along with a host of others. Their answer was the filter was not going to filter the product out, it was too small and would pass through.

Yep, I read somewhere the MoS2 is 2-5 microns, not sure if that's accurate but if it is that would put it much smaller than most filters ability.

I can tell you your oil will change color immediately when added. My oil has remained the same color over continued use, other than a bit of darkening, so it doesn't appear to me the filter is having any effect on it.
