The Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice is investigating the automotive oil filter industry on charges of price fixing, bid rigging and allocation of customers. Honeywell International, maker of Fram filters, confirmed that its employees, and others, have received subpoenas.

Jezzus..allow trillion $$$ mergers and then worry about price fixing on $3.00 oil filters. Guess they didn't realize that Supertech filters only cost $2.39. Hmmm and they compete against Fram....Its not like there is a monopoly in filters.

Kinda' like the Senate investigating steriods when oil is going to 150/barrel and the Subprime mess is unfolding (House has a watchdog committee in financials. :smirk )

The subprime thing is their buddies ,the steroids " I couldn't care less about sports" are not their buddies and easy targets .
