Oil filter for a 1 year OCI?

I use $5 Motorcrafts purchased at Walmart.
Great quality filters with an orange silicone ADBV.
I run them for 14-15 mothns and 7-8K or 12-13K miles when I had to commute further.
They work great judging by the amount of insolubles in the oil analysis.

Why to pay more? An expensive filter won't work any better...

Unfortunately the only filter brand available at Canadian Walmarts is Fram. Motorcraft filters are only available at Ford dealers, and I'm not sure that they are made by the same manufacturer as the U.S. filters.
