Oil drain plug - Dorman EZDrain

Any thoughts on the Dorman EZDrain oil drain plug? Need to replace an OEM and am wondering what everyone thinks of this? Saw it on Rock Auto, not sure exactly how it works? Looks like you just twist it and the oil comes out.

Anyone tried the EZDrain? That thread linked above got sidetracked and barely talks about the EZDrain.

I have one, but have yet to install it. It looks like a solid made item. Looking forward to my next oil change to swap it in.

Google Dorman EZDrain you will find very few reviews. It had been on market for several years with few positive reviews, that means it isn't very good at its job of draining the oil from the pan.

I saw these....and yea, as mentioned, the "gunk" build up was my main concern......there's BOUND to be carbon and other "gunk" that will get lodged in that valve/plug/spout/whatever ya call it

Try a Fumoto valve. I have been very happy with mine.
