Oil Compatibility

I have 10W/40 Enhanced Mineral Oil in the sump of my Pug 205 1.6 GTI (1989: F reg)

Will 10W/40 Semi Synthetic Oil be compatible with the existing oil?

Cool car mate, I've always had a thing for 205s, when I was growing up a Dimma kitted 1.9 was the most amazing thing I could have conceived of! Don't mention the T16, I'll start dribbling lol!

Enhanced mineral is the same as semi synthetic over here and you'll be fine to mix them, no worries.

Have you heard of Opie Oils? They're in Cornwall and do mail order, I get all my fluids and filters from them. (I don't work for them but I like to mention it when I can because there are so few UK posters on here!)

that Opie Oils site is pretty cool. Too bad we dont' have something like that here in Canada (tho we do have better/cheaper prices on oil here).
