oil change interval on '09 Crown Vic

Thanks everyone for your input on my oil change interval. I feel very comfortable now with doing in excess of 5k on the Mobil 1 and Motorcraft filter.

I absolutely love driving this car. The gas mileage isn't too bad considering its size; it achieved 25 on the highway and I think I am getting around 18 in town. It is very comfortable and plan to put 300k miles on it.

I absolutely love my 2011 LX! They are really great cars! I change the oil at 5K miles & hope to drive this thing well into my 60's! I'm 48 now! LOL

You CAN'T use the 820 on the 09+ Vic. unless you change the filter mounting plate.
the 820 has a metric thread, while the 910 is a 3/4-16 thread.
if you want a larger filter, use the Fl-400s, or the Fl-1a if you have the room

I would use the FL-400S in place of any FL-910S if i had room. Might as well get the extra media for the same price.
