I have an appointment next week to get the timing belt changed on my '00 Acura 3.2TL. The original belt was changed at ~70K and the car now has 161,800 miles. I'm at 1800 miles on my 10K mi OCI (99.9% highway) and I've got plenty of oil availalbe in my stash so an oil change is no big deal.
Do you think it would be advisable to change the oil right after the timing belt change or do you think the oil should be fine after such engine work to keep in use for the rest of the OCI?
TIA
