The trooper we bought last February uses oil. Common problem with these as the drain back holes behind the oil rings are too small. They get plugged up and the oil can't drain through them so it gets burned in the cylinders.
It's usage seems to have settled @ about 250 miles per qt of 10w30.
I'm doing a B12 soak tonight so I pulled all 6 plugs.
I was expecting to see ash deposits on the plugs or at least some sort of deposits on the worst offending cylinder.
The NGK double platinum plugs I pulled out of it look brand new! No sign of oil on any of them. According to the records they have been in the engine about 18000 miles.
Long enough to have fouled me thinks.
Anyway in the morning I will drain the oil,put the plugs back in and put Valvoline restore and protect 5w30 in it to hopefully help clean things up.
