Oil burning but nothing on plugs

just a dumb question, are you sure its burning oil and not leaking out somewhere? or blowing out when driving. How does your exhaust pipe at the end look, clean or sooty, & wet, are engine temps up to a decent level, injectors clean?, clean air filter? PVC valve?
That thing has to be smoking more than the Blue Angels in the Diamond Formation!
Air filter was new a few months ago. Exhaust pipe is black. Stock thermostat is a 180 and it gets there. If it did not it would throw a po128 code.
I can check the actual temp if needed with a scanner or temp gun or both. Heater will bake you.
Injectors? Don't know really other than it passed the California enhanced roller emissions test 9 months ago. Yes it was using oil back then too.

I followed her last weekend for a few miles and did not see or smell any smoke. Nothing gooey got on my windshield.

No engine codes recently. In the past it threw one for an EGR which I fixed, the TPS I also fixed and one for an O2 heater that comes on every couple of months . That's on my list to do.

It's now 5a here and it's been soaking since 6p last night. I will start putting it back together when the sun rises.

Imo it just runs too good and sounds too good to be worn out but maybe I'm wrong..

CAT will eat oil once it warms up, you'll probably only see blue haze for the first couple minutes, and oil's thicker then so it won't be burning as much.

I would think you'd have found greasy soot doing the EGR valve; I used to all the time on Saturn S series that 1) burned oil and 2) clogged EGRs.

Good luck with your piston soaks; harder but not impossible on V6s.

I had a Honda k24 that burned a lot of oil, nowhere near this trooper level though. When I piston soaked mine, it seeped right through the rings on the bad cylinders. With how bad yours is you may have needed to keep adding cleaner to the cylinders through the night. Did you actually have any cleaner in the engine this morning??

Just got out of AutoZone. Had to wait 30 minutes as there is only one guy working the counter.

They had the pcv in stock. Not my first choice for parts but when in a pinch in the mojave desert it is what it is .

Hecho in Mexico and $3.44 after tax. Napa was $9 but 2 days away.

Gonna grab breakfast while I'm out. Not in a rush to go home yet.

Had a terrible time getting it started. It was basically flooded and took a lot of cranking. Of course it threw a whole slew of misfire codes, cat codes etc which I cleared after my spirited test drive I took to hopefully blow the rings clean.

I did not see any exhaust smoke during my 5 mile drive

She took it about an hour ago to go see her boyfriend about 60 miles away 1 way. Imo he needs to start kicking down oil if this continues.

Apparently, your plugs are heat ranged pretty high to burn off any deposits from the oil. I had an old Dodge with a 2.5 which burned a lot of oil but the plugs never showed it.
