I live in a town house yet still manage to keep tons of oil around, not in the garage, but in the finished basement.

Sadly there was another bag full of 0w40 not shown.

Do I have a problem? Or with this forum have I found a new home that accepts me for who I am?

Looks perfectly normal to me, do your friends give you a hard time about buying too much oil?? Mine do... but the jokes on them when they pay double what I did for my oil change.

There is a thread around here where the count of the members stashes combined is over 30k quarts.

I have around 50 quarts in my closet... the metal shelves are bowing and full

and there is some overflow onto the top of my mini fridge, LOL.

If you ever worry about your hoarding you can always deny you have a problem. You can point out to your friends and significant other that there is some people on here that have a strategic oil reserve on here of over 100 qts.

you are fine. it is people like me on here that should decide if they really need all of the oil that they have in their basement.

There is nothing wrong with being prepared. Tony had 24 + cases of oil. I am using his stash and plan to add some the next good sale I see. I keep 6 oil filters on hand and on June 1st each year I replace the air filter. The price of oil is not going down and so we are actually saving money.

Oil filters are another one that keeps jumping up in price.

I need to stock up on some Suzuki filters, currently have 2 Honda motorcycle filters on standby, but zero Suzuki filters, one of the local dealerships wanted $22 for a filter...... Thankfully other places have them in the $10-12 range.

Nissan OEM Filter just cost me $8 so that's not too bad

you can try one of these,so that you can use other common filters.http://balestech.com/filter.htm

The problem with oil anonymous is, unlike the other anonymous that helps you quit the addiction, oil anonymous only makes the addiction worse.

I've seen those before but I'm really hesitant to use one on my GSX-R1000. Suzuki GS500, sure, Suzuki V-Twin motor, sure, 1 liter inline 4 making 160WHP..... I'll spend the extra money for the peace of mind. Although if everyone starts selling them for $20.00 I might think twice about it.

Hp shouldn't matter,it's the oil pressure that matters. If you click on the adapter link,it shows it for only 12.00.You really don't need the extractor to remove the oem fitting.

The only problem you have is too little oil on hand.
I've already gone through half as much oil as you have stashed so far this year, and it's only mid April.
When a real steal shows up, buy.
Hope that helps.

I've already used up a good bit, still have 2 full cases worth.

In the last month I've done....

GSX-R1000 4 quarts
Honda 919 4 quarts
Trailblazer 6-7 quarts
Honda Civic just over 4 quarts
350Z with oil cooler and oil spacer 7.5 quarts

If anyone wants to donate to the cause, Mobil 1 5W30, 0W40 or Honda GN4. I'm taking donations.

Give me my fix!
