Hey Everyone,
I'm new here and let me say thank you to the BITOL community, lots of good info here.
I spent hours last night searching, reading, researching and I'm overwhelmed with the different products, etc.
My situation is that I have an 87 S10 with a mild 307 in it (H/C). I bought the truck as is, just put money in the body to make it look good. It does start right up and run, no miss fires (yet) BUT the problem I'm having is quite a bit of smoke while it's running, it does clear up some as it warms up (not nearly all the way though). I'm not sure if it's rings, or O rings... And to be honest, I don't want to touch the motor until it fails or this winter (I'm putting together an LT1 for the truck).
I'm looking for some advice on suggestions for products that may help the smoking. It wouldn't bother me if it were on a little bit, but the smoke would almost be a hazard for other people on the road. I should also note that this truck isn't going to be driven much... Maybe 2500 - 3000 miles a year.
Thanks in advance-
Chris
