Oh knows, bought a Fram TG

Well, after reading on here that it is a good filter, I bought one today. Besides Walmart was out of the Motorcraft FL400s.
I also bought a 5 quart jug of Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5w30 for my old Mercury.

I do like the TG is longer and the grip.

I use M1-Ultras usually but picked up two TG's
The quality was superb and actually better than the Ultras as far as finish etc.. Very impressive for $5 each shipped

I got one of Those fram TG With the Black grip tape. I got it from a local parts suplyer. On the box it said up to 8000 km oci. We Will see how it handles the cars 30.000 km oci.

Currently on a TG for my Accent. It will get changed at 7500 miles and cut open.

Must be new old stock or something. I think the TG is advertised up to 10k miles so 16k km.

It's my favorite oil filter on my Frontier with the VQ40. It by far the quietest filter for the startup rattle this engine has! I've never had a problem with them, unlike the two PureOnes I pulled off with media tears.

I have been running Pennzoil Platinum 5w30, but I'm really thinking of going with Edge or Mobil 1 0W-40 next OCI.
