Official 2025 Indy 500 Thread

Was your brother a pro photographer, or just there for the race?

Btw, those two cars had two of the best Indycar paint jobs, ever.
He was in high school, I was in college. He was just taking pictures for his photography class. Don't know if that picture is still in existence it's been so long and he's moved many times.

Fox is doing a lousy job of identifying the cars out on the track. I can't see the numbers on the cars, don't readily know the cars from each other out on the track, and Fox isn't helping one bit.

Mark my words now: Alex Palou will race alongside Lance Stroll at Aston Martin F1 next year.

Palou is a Honda golden boy (and they will provide engines to AM next year). Alonso was very publicly critical of Honda whilst driving for McLaren most recently, and is off to his worst start to a season in his career. I think he can still be fast in F1 and will possibly find another ride next year. I think it’ll be one Spaniard in place of another.

And yes, I know Alonso is under contract still next year. But it’s worth about as much as the deed to the beachfront property I have in Idaho.

Alonso = zero points.

You could be right.

It needs to happen! New regulations next year, AM has Newey… you just never know. Palou could come into F1 and have a competitive drive off the bat.

Yuki is also a threat to an AM seat as a Honda favorite. But rumor has it that Lawrence Stroll has been fond of Palou for some time.

Anyway, super happy for Palou. A generational talent. I think the hybrids made racing, and therefore passing, more difficult this year.

It was quite the spectacle. Congrats to Alex Palou.

Woke up this morning to one driver whining, and blaming everyone but himself for his performance.

Pato O'Ward.

Complaints about how other drivers should've been driving, calling it a crap race, etc., etc. He just comes off as a sore loser.

The worst was watching Scott McLaughlin lose it while scrubbing in his tires. That's something you would expect from Danica. Not a top Penske driver.

I'm sure Penske is going to let him know about it. Especially after the whole "cheating" scandal. He doesn't tolerate mistakes very well. Especially one's like that.

That guy wrecked 2 cars in just 7 days... And never completed a lap under green.
