Off of Eliquis

Congrats. That’s an expensive medication.

I’m lucky enough to have found a discount card for it.

Feel free to cut your finger on accident and bleed a normal amount :ROFLMAO:

That is a great achievement, my mom (age 88) also on Friday had confirmation the watchman was fully healed and she is off Pradaxa. I encourage everyone to do their best and ask for the same procedure if you qualify. Blood thinners are not good long term solutions.

Blanket statements like this are misguided. You are not a doctor, so, you see only a small view of the larger picture.

For some conditions, blood thinners are the only option.

Well, blood thinners, or an early death.

Awesome. Luckily my afib was discovered while in the hospital after breaking my ankle and the PE’s that followed from a nasty blood clot in the broken ankle.
Follow up testing discovered a blood clot inside my heart from the disrupted blood flow and I’ve been on Eliquis ever since.
After several cardioversions and two ablations I’ve felt great for the last four years.
Bleeding like a stuck pig is certainly inconvenient especially as much as I work on cars but I feel so much better now I’m willing to put up with it.

To anyone reading this if you’re feeling tired or sluggish and often short of breath please get checked out. Most, like I did, dismiss it as getting old but it’s not worth playing it off. Get checked out. I’m 62 now and honestly feel like I’m thirty since the doctor and drugs fixed me.

My brother is a 30+ year senior anesthesiologist, try to hold the itch you have there for your own blanket statements. I stand by my own. Blood thinners can be a necessity but also come with severe downsides. I am disappointed that the Watchman isn’t offered to more people in general.
