I have a 01 Road King Classic that I run Amsoil 20w50 in all 3 holes. I change all 3 holes at every 2500 mile scheduled maintinence. I live in Texas so am able to ride year round and make a point of getting it out and warmed up in winter to burn off any moisture. I rarely do short trips, the average is 30-60 miles highway to get it good and hot.
This year I have not ridden alot and am wondering if I need to change it at a year or it can go longer since I ride year round. When I bought the bike used it was in winter up in Illinois and the oil had been changed but had been sitting awhile and was kinda milky looking......guessing this was from condenstation. My oil has never gotten this way with my riding habits in Texas. For that matter it looks pretty clean still when I change it at 2500 miles. Thanks for any input.
