Like everyone said, keep the NU-FINISH away from the plastic!

Best thing to do with it is throw it in the trash!

The trash collector might refuse it.

Lol!

Applying Nufinish over #105 is simply putting one cleaner/sealant over another cleaner/sealant, rather pointless. A second coat of #105 would make sense since it will cover any areas you may have missed and is totally compatible. Carnauba over either one will be very short lived. Use the Nufinish on something else by itself.

#105 is light in chemical cleaners and heavy on sealant. #501 is the opposite.

Give the #105 at least 24 hours to "cure" prior to the wax. After application it gets a bit shinier and more reflective over time. You may decide the wax isn't required at all. You can improve the lustre by using Duragloss Aquawax spray after washing on a wet or dry surface. It is compatible with #105 and in spite of the name it is a sealant, contains no wax. The look is brilliant. It won't work as well over a carnauba wax. Try it just once and you'll order by the gallon.

Believe me, you're talking to a wall...

Buy some Rejex. Wash your car with Dawn to strip any old wax/polish/sealer off. Do your surface prep and apply Rejex as directed on label. Stuff is awesome.

I haven't heard that brand in decades. It was hawked on TV all the time. Isn't that a product of the 70's or 80's? If you're spending all that energy detailing your car, wouldn't you get something with modern chemistry that will last much longer?

Me too. Thinking it came in an orange bottle.

OP-
If you are ever in doubt as to what products to use by category or order of application for specific paint or surface conditions, Meguiar's has a group of vids on YTube that are helpful talking through it and a demo of the process. They have stuff to cover all kinds of issues but as generic info, the vids may help no matter what brand / products you prefer to try or use.

You can get the NuFinish off with some olive or canola oil, if you get it on your trim. NuFinish had a decent review in Consumer Reports a few years ago, why does everyone bash it?

Been using Sonax Polymer Net Shield as my base sealant and topping with P&S Bead Maker after every wash. Just applied to my outside all the time truck...curious how Bead Maker holds up between washes.
