Nu Finish 3 in 1- did I do something wrong?

I've used nu finish for many years with no issues. It's been quite a while since I've polished or waxed a car however.

I bought some of this new stuff of theirs smells like the old stuff. I decided to do a 2-ft area test spot on our CX-9. Went on really easily, but after I removed it it left this haze that was really difficult to remove.

Anybody had any experience with this particular product? Or tips on what I may have done wrong? I just applied it to my microfiber didn't push hard or anything, then wiped off.

Honestly wondering if there's a better modern product out there.

Probably too much. A lot of these newer products do not respond well to over application. Try applying with a DA polisher; a barely visible, faint-film is all that’s needed.
