'zackerly.

Gary, I didn't get your question.

Starting spirits seem to be Vodka and Southern Comfort...I think the latter because it reminds everyone of cough medicine.

Then bourbon, which seems to be where many settle. Quick survey on canned premix at the bottle shop showed 1/3 bourbon based, 1/3 vodka based, a couple of scotch based, a couple of tequila based.

As Tree Hugger suggested, Bundy (Bundaberg dark rum) is the serious drink. All the boys and girls at the B&S (Bachelor and Spinsters) Balls are whacked on Rum.

Bundy has become so big that it's even sold on tap these days (mixed with coke)...think young people drinking a mixed spirit in either a "middy" (285ml), or "Schooner" (425ml) glass...it's carnage.

My brother used to have a tee shirt "Instant Arsehole...just add Rum". Wasn't all that true in his persona, but is a very common thread in alky fueled violence.

And of course, there were hors d'ouvres on the side.

All in all, well worth going to. And, yes, I'll probably pick up a bottle next time I go shopping. The 12 year old from the sherry casks was unique and very good.

Living large.. Nice..
