2ply is what is coming to be the norm now?

I'm probably going to get the cooper st maxx tires (3ply) after all for hunting season. And have them for years to come. Just switch them out when spring arrives.

No, for radial tires, it's been that way for as long as I can remember - going on 40 years! Only recently have I seen 3 ply for LT tires, and I think that is more about marketing than engineering.

I saw today when I had my tires rotated and balanced that Goodyear duratrac's are 3ply sidewall.

Before today I thought they were only 2.

Now the choices are ST MAXX or the duratracs.
