I follow a retro computer channel on twitter that posts retro equipment and screenshots of retro games and since I recall a fair number of these from when I was a kid through my teens, I'm curious to see, given the rather broad range of ages on here, what games you remember? I'll try to be somewhat chronological with these, but forgive me if some are out of sequence:

1. Commodore 128 - Jump Man
iu

2. The Oregon Trail
iu

3. Commodore 128 - Donkey Kong
iu

4. DOS - Nibbles (QBasic)
iu

5. DOS - Tanks (QBasic)
6. DOS - Gorillas (QBasic)
iu

7. DOS - Wolfenstein 3D
iu

8. DOS - DOOM
iu

9. DOS - Hexen
iu

10. DOS - Rise of the Triad
iu

11. DOS - Heretic
iu

12. DOS - Duke Nukem
iu

13. DOS - Earthworm Jim
iu

14. DOS - Duke Nukem 3D
iu

15. Windows - Diablo
iu

16. Windows - Quake
iu

OK, enough screenshots, lol

- Doom II
- Quake II
- Mech Warrior
- Unreal
- Unreal Tournament

And that takes us into the 2000's and adulthood for me, so I'll stop there.

Never have been a gamer. Although I enjoyed games like Asteroids, Pac Man, Donkey Kong Ect Ect, my entry into adulthood (my 20's) happened in the early70's. Far different world. Never at all cared for the violence games.

Things war related in reality that ended in 1972 with the end of the Vietnam War, made me realize that man just loves shooting and killing and became a Pacifist. Still like a good game of Solitaire with real cards.

I still have a Radio Shack pong game from the mid 70s, and a Commodore Vic20 from the early 80s, complete with cassette tape drive:D Astroblitz was my fave Commodore game.

In my youth there were no computers. So there were no computer games.

We played cards (cribbage, bridge, rummy, crazy 8s) or Xs and Os on the school's blackboard (which was actually green).

Space Invaders. First system was Atari 2600. Then original Nintendo - Excite Bike, Kung Fu, Duck hunt and Mario bros. Those were the first games I remember. From there I had SNES, Sega Genesis, PlayStation, Game Cube, Xbox, Xbox 360, Ps3, Ps4 systems.

I remember this kid that lived in our neighborhood had NEO GEO when it first came out. Games were literally $200.00 each then, which I think was more than most if not all gaming systems then. Sometime in the 90's.

I’m assuming you mean games included on the computer?

InkBall is one I remember well. That and solitaire. Those were my go to. Minesweeper was another of my favorites. I’m young so some of mine might not be terribly old but they are definitely not on there anymore lol. More include: Hearts and FreeCell, Spider Solitare, Purble Place. Up until kindergarten started I’d game away on my mom’s laptop lol. She would use her desktop and I’d sit by her side playing on the laptop. When kindergarten started we had iMac computers the old ancient cube ones and it had games on it like Bailey’s Bookhouse and other games I can’t even remember that’s been 2007 so a long time ago haha. And if you are talking about all computer games Minecraft and all the GTA games that were available.

I’ve never known a time without computers since I was born in 96. I started out with Flight Simulator 1998, Combat Flight Sim, Train Simulator 2001 and eventually was upgraded to Flight Simulator X. I haven’t played for years now. Never had any other gaming systems growing up only these on the computer. I had a few other games as well but they were seldom used. After we moved to the farm I spent more time outside than anything.

The shoot em ups that came later were fun, but it's hard to beat this for dollar spent vs hours of fun for a small group of dudes.

First arcade game I remember playing at my local roller skating rink. Early to mid 70s. I was around four or five years old.

First console was a Coleco TelStar from 1976.

I have a Sir-Tech supplied engraved spoon with the Wizardry logo on it; when they came to speak @ our Apple users meeting I was the only person who knew
that the Wizard Werdna was "Andrew" backwards.

The manual had cartoonish, but memorable, illustrations.
