The key to gas is to buy from a station that sells a lot of gas. The 7-11 gas I have been using comes from a large 7-11 store with about a dozen pumps. They sell a lot of gas there, cars are in and out all day long. The local Police and Sheriff's Deputies fill up there too. I have had no problem at all with the 7-11 gas and the price is reasonable, usually less than the name brand gas around here. My truck actually runs a bit better on 7-11 gas than it did on Shell gas.
You can add Techron Concentrated Fuel System Cleaner or Regane or Red Line Sl-1 every 3K and add a few ounces as a maintenance dose in each tank to help boost the quality of the gas. It would be a lot cheaper to use MMO at each fuel fill. You can start with a tank of Regane, Techron or Red Line, run that tank down as far as you can and then just use MMO at each fuel fill until your next dose of Regane, etc. MMO is a mild cleaner but it does not contain PEA like the Red Line and Regane. You may also see some good benefits from the UCL properties of MMO. At $3.77 per quart at Walmart it is the least expensive maintenance additive you could use. Regane is also cheapest at Walmart too, $4.50 per bottle here. The idea is to get the fuel system clean with a good total fuel system cleaner and then use MMO (or whatever additive you choose) to keep it clean. If you use MMO it will also help lube the fuel pump and help you avoid problems there too.
Some people here do not like MMO. They may disagree here. That's OK, this is just my 2 cents on your post. Personally, I use Regane every 3K and MMO at every fuel fill and have never had any problems at all with dirty valves or clogged injectors.
