I am trying to help a family member out and just trying to do some background research preliminarily.
He has a 2004 Chevy K1500 with the 5.3L engine. Yesterday he had it idling parked at the side of the road after having driven it for a while. The radio apparently started losing the station signal, followed by the gauge cluster dying. Prior to this, no lights had illuminated on the dash warning of anything. He shut the truck off (it was still running) and when he went to restart, it would not start. He got a jump from someone and the truck started up and operated properly for the remainder of the evening.
Any early guesses?
