no more fram at walmart?

The orange and grey corner of my local walmart has been transformed. Now it's Purolator and Bosch filters, and they're actually stocking cabin air filters now. they weren't previously.


Has anyone else noticed the change? Our walmart is usually the last to do anything so it's probably been like this for years everywhere else

Seems to be just Walmarts in Canada that have dropped Fram. Down here in the US they still have the orange wall of death.

No complaints here. We didn't have Purolator in any of the shops around here previously and Bosch are more expensive elsewhere.

Florida Walmart still loaded with Fram products and only a few Purolator oil filters.

Now that's real news here! While the Wally Purolator Classic selection has carved out a nice 'little' niche with what seems to be a fairly comprehensive application selection, it's nowhere near 50/50 Fram-Puro around here. Can't say the ratio but the Fram multiple varieties dwarf the Classic shelf space. Still for $3.27 for all applications, Classics seem to be selling well.

As said above regarding topic, old news now with multiple threads and only a Wally Canada phenomenon.

The shop of Wal-Mart uses Fram with a black can for oil changes. Will some now call them the black can of death?

There are a few Walmarts here in Ohio that ONLY have Fram.

When I checked I didn't see the Classic cartridge application for the 3.8L Hyundai which is sold at AAP. I'd be very interested had it been sold. I will have look closer but not sure what cartridge applications if any are stocked, they may just be spin on applications.

While it is called a Fram, the new Wally TLE filter is in reality a Champ made Super Tech with texture coating. IIRC, pics have been posted here before of it and it was brown in color, but not positive of that. As some of the Wally TLE oil filters are now ecore, seems certain some name or acronym is attached to them.

Might be more appropriate, as black and death kind of go together better than orange and death.
