I know my car has one in the mirror. Have never looked at it though.

Same here, it serves no purpose.

I have a compass image at the top of the display …
it’s handy when I have disobedience issues with the Navigation queen inside the dash
(that tells me to make a U turn for 30 miles before giving up) …

I had one in my 2004 grand caravan, but the 2014 subaru does not have one.
