I'm thinking about buying some Nitto Terra Grappler A/Ts. Any comments on 'grappler or Nitto tires in general? It appears that Nitto is Toyo's performance line, sort of like Yokohama's Advan line.

These would be going on my '04 F150 2wd in the 265 70 R17 size.

Had some "stay together" problems when first introduced. Seem to be fine now. We've been selling a few months now with no combacks and every customers reply when asked is doing fine, good ride, etc.

A bit skeptical of Toyo connection, as my supplier doesn't sell Toyo, and usually sister/offspirng brands are allways carried together. (Makes it easier to get a truck load quantity when more than one line is involved.)

My main line light truck/suv tire is the "Dean wildcat" built by Cooper. These give excellent service both on highway, and gravel road. Haven't been selling Nitto but a few months, but they seem to be giving equally good service (though the jury's still out). Don't sell, and see very little the Bridgestone line in this area. When I speak up on a tire line it's from personal experience, regardless of Tire Rack, Conumer Reports, or any other rating group.

Would personaly consider Toyo connection a minus though!
