Nissan vs. Kia

Another vote for KIA/Hyundai. A couple of months back when I was shopping for a vehicle and eventually settled on a Hyundai Kona, I looked at the comparable Nissan Kicks model and felt the Kicks was just cheaper in over all feel and performance. The engineers on that one phoned it in IMHO.

Nissan hands down. I’ve had three Nissan Z’s and they were the best cars I’ve ever owned. Build quality was impeccable.

As is-I'm going on a long road trip-should I change my oil before hand and which oil should I use? Is more Moly really better. What happened to the titanium?
Don't forget the best of them all,"Is *Mobile* 1 a real synthetic?" Haha that's a classic here at BITOG.

The Altima was the new car of choice for Uber drivers, before the virus made people think twice about it. Except for the CVT, it’s a solid car but just meh otherwise.

I’d pick the Kia - better build quality and no CVT.

Depends on what I am buying. Try both models see what i like better. If I were buying a truck Nissan wins. Kia crushes it with Stinger and Telluride. Nissan Rogue vs Kia SUV is what flavor ice cream you like better. I could on but won’t .

I had 6 Nissan cars and 2 Nissan trucks between 1992 and 2020. The '97 hardbody had a bad EGR valve, and the 2010 Maxima had a bad front wheel bearing. Other than a few Evap cannisters, those were the most serious problems in about 400K mikes of driving.

I traded a 2016 Maxima on a Hyundai Palisade last February. My decision was not based on overt reliability problems, but much more on Nissan's delayed product updates, especially on the truck/SUV side.

I wouldn't touch pretty much any Kia/Hyundai made. Just never been impressed with the styling, function, unusual issues I've witnessed on two in particular. My Nismo Juke was assembled in Japan and I value that any day over any other country of origin/build. FWIW I've been seeing a few of the newest Hyundai sedans in our area and **** the front/rear end design is just pathetic for my taste in cars. We all have an opinion and although any brand can have issues my Nissan has been just about flawless since new a bit over 7 years ago.
