Nissan Replaces CEO

Time will tell, they need to do something big to save themselves. During my truck shopping; i've found the Titan/XD to be very good and really liked it. Only thing holding me back is their uncertain future as the trucks have a 5yr b2b warranty. Want to make sure I can use it if I need to 😁

I'm hopeful they'll pull through, it's going to take a total reimagining IMO. Building up a reputation for better quality is a start, so I agree with above comment; JATCO CVT has to go!

Just read about that. Try something different ya know. Hopefully they'll find someone willing to keep them afloat for a bit longer without consolidating too much but I suppose they need some teamwork pretty badly.

What about they drop JATCO and revert back to the last old style transmission that worked reliably.
Not rocket science yet the board of directors cant figure that out
That’s because most car companies are run but people that have zero technical education, background or experience. These are finance people with zero interest of the engineering side of things.

JATCO makes (or used to make) regular automatic transmissions (non-CVT) that are fine. JATCO isn't the problem, it's the fact that they are making transmission with a serious design flaw in them, which is he fact that they are CVT's.
As much as I dislike the way Nissan has handled their CVT response I do enjoy the one that we have. It's frustrating to know that so much control and behaviour is locked away in the ECMs and that most MFGs are willing to sacrifice longevity / reliability for numbers (efficiency, sales, etc).
